Caron Engineering Opens New Headquarters
July 1, 2018
Maine's Gov. Lepage; Rob Caron, President, Caron Engineering; and Carolyn Caron-Stratos, VP, Caron Engineering
Caron Engineering, a company that develops technology to optimize CNC machine tools and manufacturing processes, officially opened its new headquarters in May 2018 with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. A growth in business and employees over the past decade sparked the need for a larger facility.
Maine's Gov. Paul LePage, along with many other state and town officials, attended the ceremony and were among the first to tour the new building. "2018 is turning out to be a banner year for businesses in Maine," said Gov. LePage.
"This is a major milestone for our company in our continued journey to be a world leader in providing advanced technology for the manufacturing industry," said Caron Engineering President Rob Caron. Caron originally started the company in the basement of his home. Now, after nearly 32 years in business, Caron Engineering has 34 employees and a product line of CNC machine optimization solutions that is sold worldwide.
Caron Engineering's new 12,000 sq. ft. facility sits on a 16-acre lot and has plenty of space to accommodate growing business. The new expanded showroom features CNC machine tools outfitted with products for demonstration. The building is designed to accommodate large groups and events, with sizeable conference rooms and training areas.
Caron Engineering plans to hold an open house in late fall of 2018 to welcome partners and customers to explore the new facility located at 116 Willie Hill Road in Wells, ME.
