Fully Automated 3-D Laser Tube Cutting System

BLM GROUP Model LT8.10 tube processing system

BLM GROUP USA offers its LT8.10 Fiber laser tube cutting system.

The LT8.10 Fiber is a 3-D, 3 kW fiber laser tube cutting machine that provides precise laser cutting on a variety of materials for tube diameters up to 9.5". The system is suitable for cutting highly reflective materials such as brass, copper and aluminum and can process round, square, rectangle, special shaped tube or bar and open profiles.

The system is equipped with a new Tube Cutter 3-D cutting head developed by BLM GROUP, which is more compact and lightweight, making it ideal for a variety of tube cutting applications including tilt cutting of thick-walled steel. It can make tilt cuts with greater accuracy and quality on tubes, open profiles and contours. The LT8.10 Fiber is available in multiple load and unload configurations with an automatic bundle loader, automatic step loader and/or a manual single bar loader. Complex operations such as nesting multiple part numbers on the same bar and changing to different profiles are managed automatically.

"BLM GROUP's Active Tool functions make tube processing on the LT8.10 Fiber even simpler and more robust. Active Marking identifies and tracks every single part produced; Active Piercing increases piercing speed and reliability; Active Scan prevents positioning errors created by irregularly shaped or bowed tubes; Active Speed manages all cutting parameters to deliver high cut quality; and Active Focus controls the focus position to provide quality cuts despite changes in material and wall thickness. Each Active Tool function is instrumental in the productivity and ease-of-use of the machine," said a company spokesperson.

The LT8.10 Fiber utilizes BLM GROUP's proprietary software suite, BLMelements, which is a single management point for designing, programming and planning tube and sheet fabrication production. The software also allows for remote machine monitoring, collects operating statistics and receives real-time notifications of events that may require attention.
