New MILL E Series Machining Centers

GF Machining Solutions has unveiled the 5-axis Mikron MILL E 500 U and 700 U machining centers.
The MILL E Series machines swivel from a range of -120 to +60°, and tables accommodate loads up to 992 lbs. (450 kg), allowing shops to machine a wide range of parts. Rigid, stable C-frame cast iron machine construction reduces vibrations to deliver precision and repeatability, while large guideways, double side-supported rotary tables and optimized chip evacuation enhance reliability and part quality.
Integrated automation solutions, such as the System 3R WorkPartner, let shops take advantage of lights-out operations. With such increased productivity, they can reduce cost per part and further improve overall operational efficiency.
A powerful 20,000 RPM Step-Tec spindle tackles both rough milling and drilling operations. The MILL E Series increases metal removal rates by 20% over the previous generation HEM U machine range, which reduces manufacturing costs by 15%.
