BLM GROUP Appoints Tim Tapper as Regional Sales Manager

BLM GROUP USA announced Tim Tapper has joined the company as Regional Sales Manager covering Illinois and Iowa. With more than 33 years of experience in the laser machine tool industry, Tapper will work with manufacturers across the territory to identify and apply the right mix of BLM GROUP tube laser, sheet laser, bending, and automation solutions to meet their production needs.

"Tim's extensive industry experience in lasers and automation is a great fit with our team and for our customers," said Gunar Gossard, Vice President of Sales at BLM GROUP. "I am confident he will use his laser processing background to help our customers continue to increase their product knowledge and improve their productivity."

Prior to joining BLM GROUP, Tapper held laser product, applications, and development engineering manager roles at several leading OEM laser machine tool manufacturers. His expertise spans laser process optimization and application analysis, CAD/CAM and CNC programming, laser resonator technology, training curriculum development, and material handling and automation. He is a certified Laser Safety Officer (LSO).

Tapper earned a bachelor of science degree in laser optical engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
