Shop Floor Automations, Inc. has announced the availability of the latest Predator Software solutions for manufacturers seeking to modernize CNC program management, machine connectivity, and production data collection.
The Predator Software platform combines four essential manufacturing applications: Predator DNC, Predator CNC Editor, Predator PDM, and Predator MDC. Together, these products help manufacturers control CNC program revisions, transfer programs securely, edit and verify G-code, monitor machine activity, and connect shop floor information with other manufacturing systems.
Recent Predator Software developments include expanded data-export capabilities for Predator PDM and Predator MDC. The updated services support secure HTTPS communications using formats and standards such as JSON, XML, BSON, and MTConnect. They also provide expanded compatibility with current Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, SQL Server, and Oracle database environments.

Predator DNC automates CNC program transfers between a central computer and CNC machine tools. It supports serial and Ethernet-based machines, allowing manufacturers to connect a wide range of CNC equipment regardless of brand, age, or communication method. Remote Request capabilities can allow operators to upload and download programs directly from supported CNC controls.
Predator CNC Editor provides G-code editing, file comparison, and backplotting tools designed specifically for CNC programming. Manufacturers can review program changes, identify differences between files, and visually verify tool motion before releasing a program to production.
Predator PDM provides centralized CNC program and production document management. It helps control revisions, approvals, and access to manufacturing files while maintaining an audit trail of program activity. The latest PDM Export Service enhancements allow production information to be securely shared with other manufacturing, quality, and enterprise applications.
Predator MDC collects machine and operator data for real-time production monitoring, downtime analysis, and overall equipment effectiveness reporting. Recent MDC Export Service improvements add secure web communications, broader database support, current Windows compatibility, and improved data-export performance.
Shop Floor Automations supplies the software, industrial networking hardware, and implementation services required to connect modern Ethernet CNCs and legacy machines using serial, USB, floppy-drive replacement, and other communication technologies.
Available services include system design, CNC communication set-up, software installation, database configuration, operator training, and ongoing technical support. Systems can be implemented using wired or industrial wireless networking based on the manufacturer's production and security requirements.
