HYDMECH will feature the new S-20 and S-20P Next Generation at FABTECH 2026. HYDMECH designed the original horizontal pivot band saw in 1978.
Every S-20 now ships with a 7" HMI touchscreen with digital angle display, so the operator reads the exact miter on a lit screen instead of an analog scale. Eco-Smart mist lubrication delivers coolant precisely where the blade meets the metal, using up to 90% less than a flood system, the company noted.
The S-20 is manual, built for job shops that need a saw for occasional cuts that an operator can master in a day. The S-20P is semi-automatic, adding a hydraulic head lift that returns after every cut and a hydraulic vise that clamps at variable pressure from 50 to 400 PSI, whether the material is solid bar or thin-wall tube. It is built for production shops where operator fatigue and cycle time show up on the bottom line.
Both saws run on a 3 HP direct drive motor using no belts or pulleys. Both are assembled at HYDMECH's Conway, AR, facility.
