Ultra-High Conductivity Filament
March 1, 2024
Kupros Inc now offers an all-metal 3D printer filament called Cu-29. "It is the only high-conductivity filament designed to work with regular 3D printers," said a company spokesperson. "This unique material allows for the easy, cost-effective printing of electronic circuits, which will revolutionize the additive manufactured electronics industry."
According to the company, Cu-29 offers conductivity up to 1,000,000x better than current plastic-based conductive filaments, and a 0.5 kg spool of Cu-29 has a resistance of less than 2 Ohms and can produce over 800 meters of conductive trace. It allows rapid prototyping of electronic circuit boards with regular 3D printers.
Kupros' R&D roadmap includes dedicated variants for aerospace, radiation hardening, high and super-high conductivity applications.
Kupros Inc is an early-stage start-up company specializing in creating innovative filaments to expand the capability of the additive manufacturing industry in the U.S.
