Pilot Precision Products Partners with Palbit

Pilot Precision Products, a manufacturer and supplier of industrial broaches and round cutting tools, has begun to import cutting tools made by Palbit, SA, a Portugal-based vertically integrated manufacturer of carbide tooling.

"Founded over 100 years ago, Palbit delivers high value and high-performance tooling which exceeds that of the other major brands in the industry," said a spokesperson. "By making its own raw powder blends, unique coatings and proven geometries, Palbit's full line of indexable carbide milling, drilling and turning tools beat other performance tooling manufacturers by up to 60% in total value."

Under Pilot's agreement with Palbit, Pilot is importing and distributing Palbit's tooling through United States channel partners, making it easier for customers to buy the most suitable tool for applications in the aerospace, automotive, defense, medical, die & mold and railway sectors, among others.

"We are proud that Palbit, an innovative company with a long history of success, has chosen us to create demand for their tooling in the U.S.," said Eric Hagopian, Pilot's CEO. "Our representation of this outstanding brand elevates our position as a full-line, full-value, full- service concierge that recommends and supplies the best precision tooling available to our customers. It also gives us opportunities to strengthen our distributor network by helping distributors get this gem of a product line into customers' shops. This partnership is a natural synergy for our networks and customers."

"Pilot's reputation for excellence and integrity is second-to-none," added Jorge Ferreira, CEO of Palbit. "The management team and I take considerable pride in being represented in the United States by such an outstanding company."

Palbit's high precision carbide cutting tools and tooling solutions are used in a wide range of machining operations, including milling, turning, drilling, threading, grooving and parting.

Palbit tooling is now available for purchase through Pilot's select distribution partners listed on as well as through an eCommerce platform at the same address.
