Advancement in Controls

Southwestern Industries/TRAK Machine Tools has announced a new ProtoTRAK CNC primarily designed to replace its older model AGE2, AGE3, M2, M3, MX2 and MX3 controls.

"The new KMX control continues the TRAK Machine Tool tradition of supporting the skilled toolroom machinist and mold builder with a CNC that has programmable functionality, electronic handwheels and a digital readout," said a company spokesperson. "Its crisp LCD display and USB ports replace the CRT and floppy drives found in older controls. In addition, it offers more features than the company's current low-end EMX control, but contains fewer features than the high-end ProtoTRAK SMX CNC."
