SLM Solutions Hires Lead Systems Engineer

SLM Solutions NA, Inc. recently welcomed Steve Barwin to its applications team in the newly created role of Lead Systems Engineer. A graduate of Michigan State University (BS in Mechanical Engineering) and Lawrence Technical University (MS in Mechanical Engineering), Barwin is also a professional engineer (PE) registered in the state of Illinois.
Barwin first became familiar with additive manufacturing at a service bureau during graduate school; experience he feels will help SLM Solutions understanding of customer expectations. "He gained mechanical, instrumentation and controls experience in his eight years in the nuclear power industry with Sargent & Lundy that will aid in the installation and commissioning of SLM Solutions systems," said a company spokesperson.
