SEMA Garage Expands Automotive Solutions Business

Stratasys Ltd. has integrated with SEMA Garage to enhance SEMA Garage's service-based solutions.
The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), with more than 6,600 members, offers a variety of business tools and resources to help its companies prosper. This includes its own service bureau for manufacturing automobile prototype and production parts, and related accessories. SEMA recently acquired a Stratasys Fortus 450mc 3-D Printer, giving its members the ability to build large prototype and production parts utilizing a wider range of thermoplastics, saving them time and reducing costs when bringing new products to market.
Covering 15,000 square feet and filled with state-of-the-art equipment, the SEMA Garage offers the specific tools and expertise its specialty product developer members require for new product development. The garage houses a temperature controlled emissions lab, a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for 3-D scanning, digital race car scales for precise vehicle weight measurements, a dynamometer for power output measurements and a Fortus 450mc 3-D Printer for building prototype parts and more.
