TCI Precision Metals Adds 303 Stainless Steel to In-Stock Inventory

Close tolerance Machine-Ready Blanks arrive deburred, clean, and individually packaged to prevent damage during shipping and handling. The result is precision material that can move from receiving directly into production without the additional steps normally associated with preparing raw stock.

TCI Precision Metals has expanded its in-stock raw material inventory with the addition of 303 stainless steel, providing manufacturers with faster access to this widely used alloy for precision machining applications. The expanded inventory supports quick-turn requirements for precision pre-machined blanks, helping customers reduce material lead times and move jobs into production faster.

The addition of 303 stainless steel reflects TCI Precision Metals' continued focus on helping manufacturers simplify material sourcing and improve machining productivity. By stocking this commonly specified stainless steel grade, TCI can quickly respond to customer requirements for standard-size Machine-Ready Blanks in low quantities or custom made-to-order blanks in production quantities.

"Material availability and preparation can have a significant impact on a manufacturer's ability to meet production schedules," said Ben Belzer, President and CEO of TCI Precision Metals. "Adding 303 stainless steel to our in-stock inventory gives customers another way to reduce the time between receiving an order and putting it on a machine. By supplying material that is ready for production, we help customers keep their CNC equipment focused on higher-value machining."

303 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel designed for improved machinability. Its machining characteristics make it a popular choice for precision components requiring extensive turning, milling, drilling, or threading.

TCI Precision Metals' Machine-Ready Blanks help shops shorten setup time, reduce scrap, and increase overall throughput by up to 25% by eliminating material preparation. The blanks are guaranteed to arrive machine-ready for production, allowing manufacturers to move material directly into machining rather than spending valuable time preparing raw stock.

Precision Machine-Ready Blanks eliminate the need for in-house sawing, grinding, flattening, and squaring operations, as well as outside processing. This allows shops to devote more machine capacity and labor to producing finished parts while simplifying material handling and production planning.

TCI offers two options to meet different production requirements. Standard-size Machine-Ready Blanks in low quantities are stocked and ready for immediate shipping. Ready-to-ship blanks can be ordered online for same-day or next-day shipping and arrive square, flat, and parallel within ±.002" of specified dimensions on either two or six sides.

For applications requiring specific dimensions, tolerances, or production quantities, custom made-to-order Machine-Ready Blanks are available with quick turnaround. These blanks are manufactured to customer specifications and are guaranteed to be as close as ±.0005" dimensionally and as close as .002" in flatness, squareness, and parallelism.

Every Machine-Ready Blank arrives deburred, clean, and individually packaged to help prevent damage during shipping and handling. The result is precision material that can move from receiving directly into production without the additional steps normally associated with preparing raw stock.
