Sebastian Tharlet
Royal Products has introduced Sebastian Tharlet as a key member of its Europe Business Development Team. Based near Stuttgart, Germany, Tharlet will support Royal's OEM partners, distribution network, and end users throughout Europe with a primary focus on Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria.
Tharlet has worked in the machine tool industry for over 20 years. He holds a German Master Craftsman qualification in mechanical engineering and has extensive knowledge of CNC machining, workholding technology, technical sales, and business management.
Prior to joining Royal, Tharlet served as general manager for a custom workholding manufacturer with responsibility for personnel, operations, and business development. This combination of technical expertise and commercial leadership enables him to understand both the manufacturing challenges faced by customers and the logistical requirements of successful production operations.
One of Tharlet's most significant achievements is the invention of the revolutionary Royal MTC Multi-Tasking Chuck. This versatile workholding system was developed to reduce set-up and changeover times while increasing flexibility, productivity, and machine utilization by enabling machinists to swap between 3-Jaw, Quick-Grip Collet, ID and 5C workholding without removing the chuck from the spindle. The Royal MTC was recognized as the most innovative physical product in the 2025 EMO MX Value Award Competition.
