UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS offers its WALTER tool grinding solution based on the well-established HELITRONIC platform. Now for the first time, the all-new FUSION swaps the gantry for a symmetrical kinematic design. The result is a machine that brings cycle time savings, quality improvements and money-saving energy efficiency, the company reported.
The FUSION name is intended to combine the best traits of the VISION, POWER, and MINI PLUS in one machine.
The machine offers production and regrinding of rotationally symmetric tools in a single set-up, even those with complex geometries. The HELITRONIC FUSION combines a compact footprint with generous workpiece capacity (max. grinding length 380 mm, max. tool diameter 260 mm), offering maximum flexibility for current and future applications.
Fully integrated automation enables short non-productive times and an efficient process flow. The vibration-damping mineral cast base and the symmetrical axis design provide precise grinding results even with demanding workpieces. Due to modern FANUC drive technology, high energy and operational efficiency, and intuitive IoT-ready software, the machine remains future-proof and can be smoothly integrated into digital production environments.
