The HS450i Model can come as a standard two pallet machine with the 80 tool ATC - field expandable to either a 120 or 220 tool ATC and a six pallet system - all done in the field within two days.
CNC Systems has announced its newest AVEREX Extreme High Performance HS-540iGTS and the HS-540K horizontal machining centers (HMCs). The HS-540iGTS is fully expandable in the field from 2 APC (500 mm or 400 mm) to 6 APC and the standard 80 ATC to 120 or 220 ATC. The travels have been expanded to 31.5 x 31.5 x 31.5" with 31.5 x 40" max part capacity - all while sharing the same small footprint as the HS-450 models.
"These new models feature a powerful 50 HP Spindle, 40 or 50 BBT ~ Big Plus Taper, rapid traverse rates of 3,000 IPM, 1.25G accel/dec rates and cutting feedrates of 1,594 IPM," said a company spokesperson. "With the full 4th axis having a roller cam drive @ 66 IPM that has full thermal compensation, this makes the new HS-540iGTS an extreme performance HMC."
The new HS-540iGTS and HS-540K are the newest of eight models of the AVEREX series with the HS-540iGTS being expandable and the HS-540K being more economical.
"The AVEREX HMC series now offers a wide range of metal cutting/chip making solutions from the job shop to the large OEMs in price, floor space and height size, configurations and expandability," added the spokesperson.

CNC Systems provides AVEREX installations from single stand-alone machines in small job shops to a 75 machine installation at a large OEM. Additional industries include, but are not limited to, aircraft/aerospace, oil field, small arms, defense, medical, automotive and die mold.
