Base plates for rotary tables and indexers
Talon precision VDI bushings
Global Tooling Solutions (GTS) has introduced its Gator high-precision steel base plates and its Talon high-precision VDI boring bar bushings.
Gator base plates are designed for front mount, plain back and adjustable body scroll chucks, allowing for easy mounting on any rotary table or indexer with 3/6 and 4/8 T-Slots.
Gator base plates are heat treated and precision ground, enabling lathe chuck versatility in most CNC and conventional operations. According to the company, Gator steel base plates will maintain accuracy for a longer period of time than those produced with cast iron. Mounting bolts and T-nuts are included with every base plate.
Talon high-precision VDI boring bar bushings are designed for turret and VDI lathe heads. According to the company, they provide secure gripping, high accuracy and high rigidity.
Talon offers a large variety of bushing styles (B, C, CV, J, Z and DD) and sizes, allowing the user to cover most boring bar and tool gripping requirements. "Certified raw materials, precision grinding and a controlled case depth hardening process provide a high-quality surface finish, ensuring extended bushing life," said a company spokesperson. "Talon can also provide non-standard bushing specials, and is constantly adding new bushing sizes and styles in order to provide our customers with the best possible product selection to help them increase production productivity."
All Gator base plates and Talon bushings are produced in GTS' ISO and CE certified factory and ship from its Norwood, MA, warehouse.
