General Commissioner of EMO MILANO 2015 Appointed

Pier Luigi Streparava has been appointed General Commissioner of EMO MILANO 2015, the world machine tool exhibition that will take place October 5 - 10, 2015, at the fieramilano exhibition center.

The appointment of the General Commissioner took place during the general assembly of CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries, which met at the beginning of November in Vienna.

Alternately hosted by Hanover and Milan, EMO MILANO 2015 will be organized by Efim-Ente Fiere Italiane Macchine, a company specialized in organizing exhibitions, and promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, a machine tool, robotic and automation manufacturers' association.

Streparava is the President of Streparava S.p.A., a company based in Adro (Brescia). Streparava served as President of Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre and is still member of the board of the association, as well as President of the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce since 2013.

"Machines to build the future, cutting-edge solutions that give the possibility of achieving what mankind has imagined, and technologies on which the improvement of the quality of life depends on. This and much more will be at EMO MILANO 2015," said Streparava. "EMO MILANO 2009 had a total of 124,660 visitors, 41% coming to Italy from 99 countries of the rest of the world. Almost 400 journalists followed the event, where the main stars were the 1,400 exhibitors representing 39 countries.

"With a much leaner road network and an enhanced public transport system, in 2015 Milan will be ready to welcome visitors from all over the world with a completely new skyline, as well as new and interesting attractions for those who wish to experience the city outside exhibition hours."
