Coolant Driven, High-Speed Spindle

ISCAR has introduced the range of SPINJET coolant driven, high-speed spindles. The system utilizes the machine tool's existing coolant supply, driven by a high pressure pump (minimum 20 bars) as an effective energy source to rotate an integral turbine at speeds up to 50,000 RPM, saving manufacturers up to 70% of machining time, according to the company.

Equipped with an integrated wireless display system, SPINJET is designed for semi-finish and finish machining applications such as milling, drilling and grinding. According to the company, SPINJET, by providing the RPM levels that are needed when using micro and ultra-micro cutting tools, increases productivity in machine tools commonly used for machining extremely small parts (i.e., SWISS).
