"Supertec Machinery's CNC-3130R Ram Type Twin Head 150 amp EDM sinker can double the production of large heavy parts in the EDM shop. The dual workhead, fixed table, traveling column design allows for the burning of two parts simultaneously," said a company spokesperson.
"X, Y, and Z axes are driven by D.C. servo motors with high-efficiency PWM drivers or greater torque which decrease cycle time and increase productivity," said the spokesperson. "A one micron linear scale feedback is used on all 3 axes to increase repeatability. The PC-based control with its user-friendly conversational control is easy to learn and operate with special canned cycles such as instant edge detection, center locating and reference point locating - which all help to decrease set-up time and increase productivity. It features 499 sets of working parameters and automatic multi-step machining from rough to fine burning."
An isopuls and isopower discharge circuit is designed to reduce electro wear and ensure uniform finish of the workpiece while increasing the burn speed.
