The GT-3080 CNC lathe offered by Ganesh Machinery is designed to provide flexibility for manufacturers in the energy field due to the flat bed design of this 30" swing capacity CNC lathe.
Offered in bed lengths from 30" to 160", the GT-3080 features a standard A2-11 spindle with a bore of 6-5/8". A A2-15 spindle is available that extends the bore size to 10". A rear chuck mount is included with both spindles, allowing for a 16" chuck to be mounted on the rear and up to a 25" chuck on the front of the spindle. A 30 HP spindle motor combined with two automatically selected gear ranges provides ample cutting torque for even the toughest machining materials, according to the company.
Spindle speeds from 30 to 1,000 RPM are provided with constant surface speed control for fine surface finishes. The steel alloy gear train is precision ground for smooth power transmission. An eight-station hydraulic tool turret is standard with 10 and 12 tool turrets available, as well as a rear cross-slide Ø 3" boring bar holder. A rear tool turret is also available where extra tooling is desired.
FANUC 0i-TD with Manual Guide-I and the Fagor 8055-T controls are both available. The Fagor control is an icon based conversational control with Teach-In-Playback capability. According to the company, the extensive use of the 11" LCD screen graphics allows even complex machining tasks to be accomplished easily to reduce set-up time using the extensive machining cycle prompts.
The Big-Bore lathe series starts at 22" swings and goes up to 63" lathe swing capacity with bores up to 14". Rear chuck mounts are available for oil field applications and many bed lengths are available.
