TuffCut XT9 Family Now with Neck Relief Option

The TuffCut XT9 380N series nine flute end mill is designed for high-speed machining of titanium, Inconel and similar materials. The 380N has all the benefits of the 380/380CB, but now with a neck relief. This option is designed to provide maximum strength in deep pocket milling applications.

Coated with the ALtima Xtreme (AX) coating, it offers improved performance for demanding applications. Heat generated during machining could result in the reduction of strength/hardness of the workpiece material. With the added protection of the ALtima Xtreme coating, its maximum service temperature is 2,012 degrees F/1, 100 degrees C. An uneven nine flute design contributes to the high-performance tooling by reducing harmonics to provide stable machining zones for precision machining. There are added cost savings due to the life of the tool, the company reported.
