Protech Metal Expands New Facility

Protech Metal Finishing, a Nadcap-certified plating and anodizing company with 39 years of experience, has expanded its new facility.

"We now have about 32,000 sq. ft. of production space and an increased number of production lines," said Protech Business Development Manager Shawn Dubey. "Last year, we were named one of the Top Shops of 2018 by Products Finishing magazine."

According to Products Finishing, the Top Shops are compiled through a benchmarking survey that measures four main categories: practices, technologies, strategies and training/HR. The company also just hit its 12th year achieving the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) certification.

The new facility has also allowed Protech to have increasingly fast "turn times," which Dubey said, "in addition to its commitment to the highest-quality results, is the most important value for the company's customers. Metal finishing is often the last step in completing a project, so a quick turnaround for customers is Protech's highest priority."

"The quality of our work has always been top-notch, but it is our Nadcap accreditation and quick turn times that take us to the next level for our customers," Dubey said. "Before, we had one anodizing line and one plating line. Now we have three anodizing lines, and two will be fully automated. We also have two plating lines with five processing tanks each, which is double what we had before. This new facility offers the space, capacity and enhancements we need to continue providing the best results to our customers for years to come."
