Grinding Wheel Reduces Vibration and Noise

"The SG-PLUS WHISPER grinding wheel from PFERD delivers a patented design that creates less vibration and noise than conventional grinding wheels while increasing service life and stock removal rates," said a company spokesperson. Its ergonomic design cuts noise by up to 12 dBA, a reduction of more than 90%. In addition, the wheel structure permits soft and comfortable grinding with an enhanced surface finish. The WHISPER's high stock removal rate reduces machining time and labor costs.

The PFERD WHISPER depressed center grinding wheel has a layered construction, employs aluminum oxide abrasive and is suitable for weld grinding, surface grinding and fillet weld grinding on steel and stainless steel (INOX). It enables long, fatigue-free work with a high-quality finish in the shortest possible time.

WHISPER grinding wheels come in 4-1/2 and 5" diameters, both available with either a plain 7/8" arbor hole or 5/8-11 UNC thread.
