BLM Group's laser tubes feature Active Tools, such as Active Scan, that automatically adapt to process parameters to provide optimal productivity and quality of any job.
BLM GROUP has enhanced its line of tube lasers with its patented Active Tools technology, which helps the machines automatically adapt process parameters for optimal results. These tools are designed to help produce high quality parts, repeatably and independently of the operator's experience level.
The complete suite of BLM Group Active Tools includes:
- Active Focus-Reduces cycle time by dynamically adjusting focal position to improve 2D/3D cutting/marking performance and quality.
- Active Speed-Offers highest cutting quality on all material conditions.
- Active Marking-Allows parts to be dynamically marked during the cutting process for complete product traceability.
- Active Piercing-Increases piercing speed and reliability, even on inconsistent material quality and thickness.
- Active Tilt-Achieves faster cutting speeds through rapid oscillation of the 3D cutting head.
- Active Scan-Ensures the highest tolerances by removing errors due to bow and twist in tubes using a camera/laser scanning system that corrects in less .6 seconds, according to the company.
- Active Weld-Camera based weld seam detection camera that can look internally or externally to locate and position the weld seam.
- Active Shape-Profile recognition camera used to allow for the automatic loading of custom sections like aluminum extrusions and rolled formed shapes.
