Combining the strength of HSS with a 135° split point, users can achieve increased efficiency with reduced cost per hole. The HX design can reduce thrust requirements, resulting in improved cutting action and reduced walking.
"Compared to other high speed steel, heavy duty jobber drills, the Precision Twist Drill HX delivers up to 70% more holes in medium strength materials. The versatility of this jobber drill extends beyond medium strength materials, delivering 18% more holes in high strength materials and up to 30% more holes in low strength materials," said the spokesperson.
"With flute geometry for effective chip evacuation and its purple/bronze oxide coating for increased wear resistance, the Precision Twist Drill is fast and efficient," continued the spokesperson. The HX is available in HX10 (fractional sizes), HX15 (letter sizes) and HX18 (wire gauge sizes).
The Precision Twist Drill HX is also available in a 29 piece fractional set (1/16 - 1/2 x 64th).
