MxD Welcomes DMG MORI as Tier 1 Manufacturing Partner

Manufacturing x Digital (MxD) announced that DMG MORI has joined as a Tier 1 member to collaborate in the field of advanced manufacturing and further develop technological solutions to meet the defense department's dynamic needs to ensure America's national security.

Chicago, IL-based MxD, which celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2024, helps advance economic prosperity and national security by strengthening U.S. manufacturing competitiveness through technology innovation, workforce development and cybersecurity preparedness.

As a Tier 1 Partner, DMG MORI will fill 1,600 sq. ft. of dedicated space with its dynamic technology solutions within MxD's 22,000-sq.-ft. factory. The space will house an installation from DMG MORI, highlighting the company's latest technology and demonstrate the capabilities and applications of advanced manufacturing in meeting the demands and conditions experienced by U.S. military across the globe.

"We are pleased to announce the partnership between DMG MORI and MxD. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in advancing smart manufacturing technology," said Berardino Baratta, CEO of MxD. "By working together, we aim to drive innovation, foster collaboration and accelerate the adoption of smart manufacturing solutions. Together, we will shape the future of manufacturing and drive the industry to new levels of productivity and efficiency."

"This partnership is an important advancement in ensuring our military can innovate to strengthen our national security," said Sen. Tammy Duckworth. "Making sure our troops have access to cutting edge technology is not just a nice thing to have-it is a necessity for national competitiveness and military readiness. It saves money, it saves time and, most importantly, it can help save lives. I am proud to see our advanced manufacturing industry continue to grow and lead the way right here in Illinois."

"DMG MORI is among the world's leaders in the development and production of advanced machine tools, and we are proud to partner with MxD to further explore the potential capabilities of this technology," said James V. Nudo, Chairman of DMG MORI Federal Services.

DMG MORI Federal Services, the company's initiative focused on growing partnerships with the federal government, is headquartered in Hoffman Estates, IL. This location also includes the company's Academy, which serves as its in-house training headquarters, providing training and education to its customers and others. The company's partnership with MxD further builds on its investment in the state and commitment to working with the federal government.
