INSPIRE+ Control Introduced

Milltronics has introduced its INSPIRE+ platform that includes a redesigned console equipped with updated INSPIRE v11 software. In addition to providing customers with improved surface finish, reduced cycle times and an advanced proprietary motion engine, the INSPIRE+ platform supports 5-axis technologies as seen on the company's new VM250IL-5x machine.
The new control also provides faster and more advanced graphics simulation, Industry 4.0 and IoT support. INSPIRE+ comes with four times more memory (4 GB to 16 GB), four times more GPU clock (.3 GHz to 1.2 GHz) and 20 times more GPU memory (.1 GB to 2 GB). That enables faster processing and better graphics.
A top feature of INSPIRE v11 is MotionBoss, a patented curvature-controlled smoothing system that increases machine performance, shortens cycle times and improves surface finish-all while maintaining control over part accuracy. The improved surface finish is achieved through the MotionBoss software, which controls the motion of the machine rather than the standard method of the hardware controlling the machine's motion. The efficiency of MotionBoss leads to less chatter, vibration and machine jerk. MotionBoss decreases cycle times because it does not stop between two rapids. Its lookahead capabilities evaluate what is coming up in the program and optimize its velocity and acceleration through corners.
The new control also provides remote capabilities, including Shop View, which allows customers to remotely access their machine from anywhere to view diagnostics and real-time monitoring. INSPIRE v11 also supports MTConnect and has remote support with interactive troubleshooting, remote PC access and augmented reality to help fix the issue and get back to making parts.
