TCI Precision Metals Expand Duplex Milling Capacity
December 1, 2024
TCI Precision Metals announced the installation of its newest Amada duplex mill, the THV1000.
TCI Precision Metals announced the installation of an Amada THV1000 duplex mill. It is the newest addition to the TCI lineup of Amada milling machines used in the production of Machine-Ready Blanks. The new machine is part of TCI's ongoing commitment to invest in technology to increase quality and further reduce the turnaround time of its custom made-to-order and standard ready-to-ship Machine-Ready Blanks.
TCI Machine-Ready Blanks are milled on all four sides in a single set-up using the THV1000's twin spindle and 90° indexing table design, which reduces set-up time and increases efficiency. One or more Machine-Ready Blanks can be milled simultaneously to the machines' overall dimensional capacity of 39.37" x 39.37" x 15.75" (1,000 mm x 1,000 mm x 400 mm). The value is passed to TCI customers through shorter lead times and competitive pricing.
"We continue investing in our future with excellent people and equipment. It is our goal to lead, not follow, when it comes to our products and services, and this point has never been more important than right now. As we move towards economic recovery in the metalworking industry, demand for our customers' services will certainly increase. We are positioned to help them meet that demand with the capacity, technology and quality they have come to expect," said Ben Belzer, President and CEO of TCI Precision Metals. "Beyond the traditional use of Machine-Ready Blanks, we see increased demand for them in automated workflows. Their precision and consistency blank to blank are proving to be an excellent choice for automated materials handling and workholding for autonomous machining applications."
