Tailored Solutions for Automotive, Aerospace Industries

Twin-spindle DZ 25 P

CHIRON Group North America offers its latest 25 and 28 series designed to meet the evolving requirements of the automotive and aerospace industry. These machines are specially designed to produce high-quality, lightweight parts made from materials like aluminum and magnesium.

The DZ 25 twin-spindle machining centers were developed in strategic collaboration with GF Casting Solutions Altenmarkt GmbH & Co. KG, a partnership that began in 2015. This collaboration focused on increasing productivity in high-pressure die-casting processes while addressing the challenges of manufacturing larger and lighter components.

The DZ 25 is the result of this partnership and offers a high-performing solution for companies needing to produce large volumes of parts with precise measurements. The machine is now available in the U.S. and is suited for the production of large aluminum parts.

The DZ 25 P features a double-spindle configuration with a spindle distance of 800 mm, offering versatility and precision. It accommodates workpieces up to 799 mm in diameter per position.

The spindles operate independently in the X and Z directions, allowing for flexible operations with user-selected automation options. The machine offers travel ranges of 800 mm in X, 1,100 mm in Y and 800 mm in Z, along with travel speeds of 120/75/75 m/min and acceleration rates of 10/10/15 m/sq. s.

Loading and operating the machine are done from different sides, giving easy access and a clear view of the process, even when using a pallet changer for switching parts during machining. CHIRON offers automation options, including a robot, pallet changer or a combination of both. The machine can also be loaded directly by a gantry system for high-volume production.

The machining centers are controlled through the CHIRON TouchLine system, compatible with Siemens or FANUC controls, allowing for continuous monitoring of the machine's status. The 25 series is also prepared for integration with CHIRON SmartLine modules, including RemoteLine, DataLine and ProcessLine.

CHIRON Group has also introduced the series 28, an advanced machining center featuring a 1,200 mm spindle distance. This advanced machine is designed to complement the existing range, providing a solution for larger and more complex components. The series 28 is built on the same platform as the series 25 but is engineered to handle even bigger parts with high precision, making it suited for demanding applications in the automotive and aerospace industries.
