The Victor Taichung Machinery Works' new building is built with a floor area of 64,000 sq. m. The solar cells on the roof have power capacity of 2,000 kWP (2 MW at peak output). The green building includes an ecological landscape, water recycling and energy-saving lighting.

Fortune International Inc. was founded in the U.S. in 1989 as the exclusive importer and distributor of Victor Taichung Machinery Works for North America. The Fortune headquarters, located in Somerset, NJ, is the central distribution point for its CNC machine tools, automation products, plastic injection molding machines and conventional machinery. Fortune's facility (nearly 30,000 sq. ft.) provides a showroom, turn-key runoff area, warehouse, sales department, factory trained service group and applications engineers to support its North America Dealer Network.
Victor Taichung Machinery Works Co., Ltd., founded in 1954, started with making conventional lathes in Taiwan and now supplies CNC lathes and machining centers by being devoted to nonstop R&D and innovations. Victor Taichung provides more than 65% in-house manufacturing including its own foundry to provide Meehanite castings to assure machine quality.
"All products are marketed globally under the brand names VICTOR or FORTUNE (in North America) which highlights its strong position as a leading machine tool manufacturer in Taiwan," said a company spokesperson. "Insisting on 'Technology Innovations and Quality Superiority,' Victor Taichung is continuously devoted to developing a new generation of machine tools."
Victor Taichung has deployed the same concepts with its new $120 million smart factory manufacturing building and headquarters in Taiwan. The total area of Victor Taichung's new smart factory complex is 64,000 sq. m under roof with the manufacturing building making up 47,000 sq. m over three floors. The plant includes automated parts storage and material handling and automated unmanned machining lines and assembly areas. Each area is serviced by AGVs to collect, transport, load and unload machines to ensure components are ready for assembly.
"Smart and adaptive is what we have deployed in all our enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution systems at our new Victor Taichung factory complex in central Taiwan, all with the common goal of manufacturing better quality equipment delivered on time. Production lines manufacturing machine tools now operate independently on a continuous basis, while plant managers monitor operations remotely on mobile devices. The company's smart machines, robotic arms, sensors and automated warehousing devices are all connected by means of the company's industrial IoT system," said Bert Huang, Victor Taichung Chairman.
Being both ISO 9001 approved and a Meehanite cast member, Victor's foundry produces over 1,000 tons of castings a month for its own use and to export to Japan.
To ensure greater control over the quality of its machined parts, Victor Taichung has installed two giant 5-side machining centers and two complete FMS lines developed in house.
Victor has eight technical support and distribution centers located in the USA, France, Germany, South Africa, Malaysia, Thailand and China. These centers act not only to market the machines, but also to provide customers with an after-sales service and technical support. In 2019, Victor Taichung celebrated its 65th year.
Fortune/Victor-Taichung offers 79 models of turning centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers (3-5 axis), wheel turning centers and multi-axis machines, many with complete automation.
