Matsuura Machinery USA Announces Personnel Appointments

Billy Bogue

Mike Bruegger

Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc., a provider of manufacturing solutions for more than 80 years, has appointed Billy Bogue to the newly created role of National Sales Manager and Mike Bruegger as Application Engineer.

In this new position, established in response to surging demand for Matsuura's 5-axis unmanned automation solutions, Bogue will lead the development and implementation of Matsuura's sales and growth strategy. He will also collaborate and work in partnership with product management, engineering and marketing to define and execute Matsuura's sales objectives.

"Billy's comprehensive industry experience will build upon our successful relationships with distribution partners. His sales acumen will enable us to utilize opportunities in existing markets, strengthen current relationships, and create new ones," said David Hudson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Bogue holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Columbia College.

As Application Engineer, Bruegger will train and support distributor engineers and Matsuura customers in the operation and troubleshooting of all Matsuura machining centers for machine software, machining applications, cutting conditions, control functions and FANUC 5-axis functions.

Matsuura Application Engineers also perform time studies, test cuts, CAM and manual programming, create CAD models, set up and execute machine cutting demos for both showroom machines and technical workshops/open houses, as well as troubleshoot machine functions and Matsuura software.

"Mike brings a wealth of engineering expertise and a valuable skill set to support Matsuura's substantial growth in 5-axis automated manufacturing solutions," said Shawn Buboltz, VP Technical Services.

Bruegger has considerable experience with various roles in CNC machining, engineering, manufacturing, project management and customer support. Bruegger earned a Machine Tool Diploma and CNC Programming Certificate from St. Paul Technical College.
