PSS Group's Surface and Profile Finishing Div. Announces New Location

In 2016 the Precision Surfacing Solutions Group (PSS Group) acquired the Elb-Schliff and aba Grinding brands, which became the foundation of its Surface and Profile Finishing Division (SPF). With the acquisition of Reform Grinding in 2018, Kehren in 2019 and ISOG (former Michael Deckel) in 2020, the SPF Division today is home to five brands, each with a longstanding tradition.

"These strong brands under one roof enable us to learn from each other constantly. Consequently, we continually review and optimize processes to make the benefits of our family of brands even more accessible to our customers. The international prestige and technical expertise of ELB-Schliff, aba Grinding, Reform, Kehren and ISOG allow our SPF Division to identify the best possible surface and profile finishing solution for our customers," said Brian Nelson, CEO of the PSS Group. "Within PSS, all brands can further grow and will be stronger than ever before."

The next chapter to grow the SPF Division has already started. A new location close to Kehren's current location has been found. The opening of this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Troisdorf, Germany, will further strengthen the SPF Division, and in the future Reform, ISOG and Kehren machines will be built at this site.

Bill Waddell, President Global Operations, said: "We have brought together an extensive range of competencies, allowing customers to access all of our services at this location. Grouping similar grinding services in Troisdorf increases efficiencies and represents another step towards providing more value to our customers. The new location offers more than 10,000 sq. m manufacturing space and a world-class service warehouse for all SPF members."

"With these changes, we are able to more easily bundle our brands' expertise and make it available to all our customers. We are proud of our highly qualified employees and the motivation and experience they bring to the table," said Cihan Yanpinar, Head of Sales for the SPF Division. "We will be able to fulfill customer requirements as well as provide them with greater value."

Under its brands, the PSS Group develops cost-effective processing solutions for the lapping, polishing, fine grinding, surface and profile grinding, creep feed grinding, bore honing, double-disc grinding and brush deburring through an expanding network of sales and services offices located throughout the world.
