Flexibility is Critical to Reduce Non-cutting Times
July 1, 2021
HAINBUCH America will showcase workholding solutions at PMTS.
"There are over 60 combinations to be had with our quick-change modular system," said a company spokesperson. The basic clamping device remains mounted on the machine and simultaneously serves as an interface for other clamping devices.
"Whether for I.D. or O.D. clamping, saw cuts or bar work, the pull-back effect of the mounted add-on clamping elements enables solid clamping with optimum characteristics, such as high rigidity, vibration reduction and maximum metal removal rates," said the spokesperson. Therefore, the innovation is not only in the individual clamping devices themselves, but rather in the modular principle, which due to its diversity of application possibilities minimizes set-up times and decreases production downtimes."
The spokesperson added, "With the TOPlus hexagonal version you get 25% more clamping force over the round versions. And because the clamping head rests with full-surface contact in the TOPlus chuck body, the result is significantly better resistance to contamination."
