Takumi USA Utilizes Industry-Standard FANUC Control

Takumi USA has adapted the FANUC CNC machine control to its durable 3-axis mills and lathes to help industries such as the die/mold, aerospace and automotive achieve higher productivity through speed, accuracy and reliability.

Takumi works closely with FANUC to deliver the best features and options for the operator. The company's machines use the FANUC 0i-MF Plus control, which includes options for easy set-up, large lookahead for path planning and the ability to decide between roughing and finishing. The standard Takumi control features are specifically designed to augment Takumi machines for greater speed, improved part finish and easy set-up.

For Takumi's 5-axis machines (U Series), the company utilizes the HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 control for its simultaneous 5-sides machining capabilities. This comes standard with 3D tool radius compensated contour precision, cylindrical surface machining, coordinate transformation, a 3D program verification graphics in test and run modes, a 15" full-color, flat screen display and much more.
