Slicing and Step-Grinding

"The Supertec DW-618CXII Slicer surface grinder has become a popular grinder in the electronics and other industries where repetitive slice grinding of non ferrous material such as manmade quartz, emerald, ruby and ceramics is required," said a company spokesperson. Combined with the hydraulic creep feed option the control's capabilities are designed to allow the operator to program continuous creep feed grinds through the material moving over a predetermined amount after each slice thru the material. With the latest version of the Mitsubishi CII (PLC) control the operator can choose between step-down grinding, slicing or criss-cross surface grinding.
