Turret Tooling for DMG MORI

For over 20 years, ITI Tooling Company Inc. has been supplying precision turret tooling solutions for all makes of CNC lathes, including a range of DMG MORI live tool spindles.

All of ITI's DMG MORI live tool spindles have been developed specifically to complement the high speed, high torque tool turrets used on many of the DMG MORI NL, NT, NZ and DuraTurn series machines. "These turrets use a high performance tool drive and transmission that is driven by an integral direct drive motor with minimal heat transfer and vibration," said a company spokesperson.

"The design of the ITI/SAUTER Live Tool Spindle Unit enhances these turret attributes with standard features such as precision alignment surfaces for rapid set-ups and changeovers, high quality precision bevel gear drives to reduce heat, noise and vibration as well as pre-stressed spindle bearings for high speed and high torque cutting operations," said the spokesperson.

Many tool spindles have a universal drive shaft for right and left hand use, plus they are designed with internal coolant up to 1,100 PSI to help keep the tools cool and rapidly clear chips from the work zone.

ITI Tooling now has an even larger assortment of standard "off the shelf" tool turret spindle units readily available for DMG MORI CNC lathes and mill/turn machines.
