ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification for AFAB Precision Machining

AFAB Precision Machining, manufacturer of precision machined parts and assemblies, has announced it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system.

"This is a logical step in our growth plan to establish ourselves as a premier manufacturer of complex precision machined parts and is a significant milestone in our continuing innovations," said Larry Campbell, President. "Certification requires strong customer focus throughout the organization and all operational activities. Successfully completing the rigorous process required for ISO certification is a clear sign that we are committed to superior product quality and customer satisfaction."

According to the company, ISO sets out the criteria for a quality management system. Accepted worldwide as the standard that defines quality, ISO 9001:2008 provides the necessary framework to improve company efficiency, minimize risk and maximize opportunity. "AFAB has worked diligently over the course of the last two years to earn this certification and improve customer experience. Our customers will be assured that we will not become complacent and that they are dealing with a company that adheres to the ISO principle of continuous improvement. They will know that they can trust our processes and that we are always striving to exceed their expectations," said Ryan Marsh, Quality Assessment Supervisor.

Certification to ISO 9001 requires an accredited third party auditing organization to thoroughly review the company's internal quality management system processes to ensure that they are capable of consistently delivering a product that meets customers' needs and expectations. AFAB received its ISO certificate of registration from Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc., an accredited registrar that performs assessments of management systems against requirements of national and international standards for quality.
