Productivity Inc. Celebrates 50 Years

Productivity Inc., a machine tool distributor serving the upper Midwest, recently marked its 50th anniversary.

"Since 1968, Productivity continues to strengthen its services, and believes it is the relationships with the customers and support of its long lasting, quality builders and vendors that sets it apart from its competition. Productivity is a pioneer of sorts in the industry, striving to be more than just a distributor of machine tools, by adding tooling and accessories, robotics and automation, advanced supply, preventive maintenance, rotary and live tool repair, machine moving services, as well as forward-thinking technology solutions that include Fast Track Vending Solutions and more," said a company spokesperson.

"We continue to push the limits in our industry so that we can be the foremost expert and supplier of most everything for the manufacturing industry," said Greg Buck, Productivity President. "We strive to be a one-stop shop for manufacturing."

Over the years, Productivity Inc. has redoubled its ties to local community and technical colleges, and increasingly with high schools, particularly through its representation of Haas Automation. Productivity supports regional technical colleges through training support, live machine demonstrations, tooling applications, school discounts on CNC machines and by hosting a student day and job fair on the first day of the Oktoberfest Tool Show.

"Over the last 50 years, one thing that has remained constant is that Productivity's success is driven by its employees-from those who support to those who manage," said the spokesperson.

"It is these people who embody and continue to implement the mission of our organization," said Buck. Productivity hires and retains bright, dedicated, passionate and fun people, and believes that succeeding is a team effort. "It is this culture, where we sincerely care for our customers, that upholds our strong reputation for service excellence. We believe if our customer succeeds, then we will succeed," he concluded.

Productivity Inc. provides metalworking products and services in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and western Wisconsin. Productivity also has offices in the Rocky Mountain Region, including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, through its partner company MMT/Moncktons Machine Tools.
