Fast, Precise Measuring Systems

Blum-Novotest offers the LC50-DIGILOG and Portable Spindle Control (PSC) systems to increase productivity and accuracy in machine.

"The LC50-DIGILOG laser delivers cutting-edge science with incorporated technology upgradable over time," said a company spokesperson. "The high-end lasers provide the most accurate tool measurement and repeatability even in the harshest work environments. The PSC system enables operators to use one machine to monitor multiple tools to economically measure a CNC machine's spindle health. The DIGILOG touch probe systems enable high scanning and probing speeds in the hard-use, high-output molding environments. Complex contours can be monitored in series at up to 2 m/min."

LC50 DIGILOG System

The new LC50-DIGILOG generates thousands of measurement values per second. The compact BLUM smartDock serves as the basis for all new support systems and contains all the necessary pneumatic valves in addition to the electrical, mechanical and pneumatic connections between the machine and laser measuring system.

"LC50-DIGILOG provides impressive advantages for users," said the spokesperson. "Measurement and testing times have been shortened by up to 60%. In addition, the optics in the system were further improved, so that the new generation achieves near-perfect accuracy due to an optimized beam shape and a 30% smaller focus diameter."

Together with LC-VISION software and technology cycles such as 3D ToolControl and SpindleControl, LC50-DIGILOG enables continuous DIGILOG-based contour measurement of tools, on-screen visualization and the ability to monitor spindle health.

Blum PSC

The Blum PSC system allows companies to inspect the spindles for all machines in a shop with one portable laser system. The PSC is a compact, easy to use system, allowing operators to monitor an unlimited number of motor spindles in their facility. Measure axial and radial run-out, run a vibration analysis or check the stability of a machine spindle directly on a computer with this portable device and SpindleControl software by Blum-Novotest.

TC63, TC64 and TC76 DIGILOG Touch Probes

Blum-Novotest DIGILOG TC63/64/76 probes provide high-precision measurements and fast analog scans. The DIGILOG probes feature BRC radio technology and are particularly suited for mold making.

By analogue scanning the workpiece surface, machining errors are quickly detected. DIGILOG probes use shark360 technology, a high-precision, face-geared measuring mechanism that delivers defined deflection direction and constant deflection forces for maximum accuracy. The TC63 DIGILOG probe is the modular version that enables extensions and elbows attachments. The TC76 DIGILOG is a hard-wired alternative.
