(l-r, standing) Brady Truex, Instructor; Tim Collis; Jonathan Fogle; Nick Miller; James Stewart, General Manager; Nick A. Busche, CEO/President; Jacob McDonald; Timber Wolfe; and Alex Craig.

Hire Technology AML student Alex Craig spends time shadowing Marie Kunkel, Materials/Purchasing Manager at Busche. Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics course is in its second year at Central Noble after a successful year piloting the program for Conexus and Ivy Tech last year.

Busche employee Steve McDowell, Manufacturing Engineer, discusses his duties at Busche with Central Noble student Jonathan Fogle. Fogle is pursuing an education geared towards mechanical engineering. He and his classmates will take the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Associate test as part of their final exam.

Tyler Strange and Jeremy Buuck, Design Engineer for Busche Workholding, discuss the technical aspect of AutoCAD. Students enrolled in Hire Technology AML at Central Noble have the opportunity to earn six college credit hours free of charge from a partnership with Ivy Tech and Conexus.

Students enrolled in Hire Technology Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics (AML) at Albion, IN, Central Noble High School recently completed a job shadowing experience with their A+ Partner Busche CNC Machining. Students had a chance to see first hand if a career in manufacturing is right for them.

The class invited Busche President Nick Busche and HR representative Stephanie Black to speak to them prior to the job shadowing. Mr. Busche informed them of the company's success stories and growth they have been experiencing, not only in Albion but also at a plant they have purchased in Alabama. He then had the students complete a Predictive Index (PI) to glean information from them prior to assigning them to a job to follow at their facilities. The PI lists 15 reference patterns and various types of jobs that help students identify potential career pathways. Students were lastly teamed up with personnel from various departments at Busche, including Tool Maker, Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, Purchasing/Materials/Logistics, Tool Grinder, Operations, Quality Engineer, Estimating, Supervision, CMM Programmer, Sales/Program Management and Maintenance.

Busche is a computer numerical control (CNC) production machining organization employing over 650 skilled employees at its nine production facilities encompassing over 715,705 sq. ft. located in northeast Indiana and northern Alabama. Busche specializes in the machining of intricate castings and forgings for the automobile, agricultural and durable goods industry.
