Cut Safer, Smarter, Faster with the Athena Series

The new FMB Athena H34A and H41A automatic horizontal bandsaws from Pat Mooney Saws are engineered to meet the demands of high-volume cutting applications while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Because safety and cleanliness are essential in any manufacturing environment, both Athena models feature a fully enclosed design that promotes a safer workspace while minimizing debris and noise. Their dual-column, polymer concrete-filled construction supports a large cast saw head and helps to absorb vibration, enhancing stability and providing greater precision with every cut.

Both the Athena H34A and H41A models come equipped with FMB's Smartcut technology, a feature designed to provide faster cut times without sacrificing blade life. Both saws can save hundreds of preset cutting programs, each storing cut lengths, quantities, material dimensions, shapes, grades, feedrates and saw blade speeds. Operators can quickly switch between material dimensions and grades with the push of a button. This utility makes the machines suited for diverse cutting applications, streamlining workflows and reducing downtime.

Athena H34A highlights:

  • Cutting capacity: 14" round
  • Saw blade: 1-1/4" wide
  • Material indexing stroke: 20" with ball screw and encoder controls
  • Advanced features: SmartCut, servo-controlled feedrate, linear encoder, material tables and scrap minimization technology
  • Weight: 6,500 lbs.

Athena H41A highlights:

  • Cutting capacity: 18" round
  • Saw blade: 1-1/2" wide
  • Material indexing stroke: 20" with ball screw and encoder controls
  • Advanced features: SmartCut, servo-controlled feedrate, linear encoder, material tables and scrap minimization technology
  • Weight: 7,500 lbs.

Both Athena models feature a 10" touchscreen control that provides complete visibility of the machine's operation. Operators can set up and access material tables with recommended blade speeds and feedrates, while modes like ECO, Normal, FAST and automatic blade break-in provide optimal performance for every job.

The Athena series is specifically designed for high-volume cutting with features like servo-controlled feedrates, precision indexing and scrap minimization. These saws are designed for manufacturers seeking greater accuracy, speed and reliability in their cutting operations.

The Athena H34A and H41A are in stock and available for quick shipment.
