Machine Tool Probing Suite for In-Process Automated Inspection

Verisurf Software, Inc. offers the Machine Tool Probing (MTP) suite designed to support in-process inspection directly on CNC machine tools. Autonomous on-machine milling and inspection are accomplished with a single set-up. CMM hardware costs are eliminated, parts (especially large parts) do not need to be moved to and from the metrology lab, environmental stability is maintained, no additional fixtures or realignment of parts is necessary for measurement and the closed-loop process improves overall process control.

Verisurf Software is configured in application modules delivered through powerful solution suites designed to optimize the user experience and execution of workflows. The Verisurf user interface presents applications in a Windows ribbon bar style. This provides a familiar user experience and enables new and existing customers to quickly identify and utilize each solution suite's workflows and underlying features, tools and capabilities, helping to maximize their metrology investment.

Verisurf is built on the Mastercam platform, which allows the CAM and Computer Aided Inspection (CAI) programming to be generated using the same software. The programming process and file management complexity are reduced, measurement results can be directly applied to improve machining and overall process control is increased by closing the loop between the physical machined part and the intelligent CAD model.
