Tooling for Wire EDM

System 3R offers a variety of wire EDM (WEDM) tooling solutions to meet diverse needs.

System 3R offers four main categories of WEDM:

• Reference dovetail-WEDM, 3Ruler, EconoRuler and 3P: These are basic reference products that are machine model dedicated. They are flexible enough to handle single or multiple workpieces in a single set-up and can handle small to very large (by size and weight) pieces. Manual operation only.
• Macro-Macro, MacroWEDM, B-axis and DelphinShort Twin: Macro is the most universal interface system for different machining operations and is not restricted by machine model. Manual and automatic chucks are available and can have indexing or rotating options. Vertical or horizontal loading enables automation. These can handle workpieces of up to 15 kg or approx. O160 mm.
• Matrix: This system is not restricted by machine model, but requires 3Ruler. Manual and automatic chucks are available and can have indexing or rotating options. Vertical loading enables automation. A main feature is a central through hole of up to O147 mm.
• Do-it-yourself fixture-MacroWEDM: These fixtures are machine model specific and automation ready. They can handle weights of up to 100 kg.
