Updates to TRUMPF Technology Center in California

The TRUMPF Technology Center in Costa Mesa, CA, features the latest fabrication technology and an experienced expert team to meet local needs.

To better serve West Coast customers, TRUMPF's Technology Center in Costa Mesa, CA, features new demonstration machinery and a team of highly knowledgeable experts that includes (l-r) Jade Van Hee, Pat Grace and Andreas Holzki.

TRUMPF is unveiling a fresh, new look for its facility in Costa Mesa, CA. The California TRUMPF Technology Center opened in June of 2019 to demonstrate and train customers on the latest TRUMPF technology. Now, the 20,000 sq. ft. facility highlights the company's latest advances in tube and flat sheet laser cutting, bending, arc welding and combination punch-laser technology via eight onsite TRUMPF machines.

Visitors to the updated showroom can witness-in action-a TruLaser 1030, TruLaser 3030 with automation, TruLaser Tube 5000, TruMatic 3000, TruBend 3100, TruBend 5230, TruBend 7036 and TruArc Weld and can learn about taking the first steps into automation and implementing software solutions that enhance the entire production process. The clean, modern facility also features a training classroom that seats up to 210 local customers.

The TRUMPF Technology Center in California also has a new Site Manager, Andreas Holzki. Holzki also becomes a new Regional Manager for the Western region. He has been with TRUMPF for more than eight years and previously served as head of TRUMPF's Global Sales Excellence program. Holzki joins an experienced West Coast sales team that includes new Regional Sales Managers Pat Grace and Jade Van Hee.

"We are excited to bring more of the latest TRUMPF technology and expertise to manufacturers on a local level," said Burke Doar, TRUMPF Inc. Executive Vice President. "These investments renew our commitment to our West Coast customers. With updated demonstration machinery and a team of highly knowledgeable experts that includes more local service technicians based in the Western region, we are even better suited to meeting the needs of regional fabricators."

Grace, a 20-year TRUMPF veteran with deep technical knowledge, serves the states of California, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. Formerly a North American sales manager at the TRUMPF Laser Technology Center in Plymouth, MI, the move marks Grace's return to the West Coast where he previously worked as a regional sales manager for TRUMPF's OEM laser product line.

Van Hee has moved from an applications role into a regional sales manager position to assist TRUMPF customers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. Van Hee has more than 25 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing. Similarly well-versed in TRUMPF technology, Van Hee has worked at TRUMPF's Smart Factory near Chicago and in the Costa Mesa facility as a senior applications engineer.

TRUMPF's Costa Mesa Technology Center is located in Orange County, about 40 miles southeast of Los Angeles and just 15 minutes from the Santa Ana/John Wayne Airport. TRUMPF also operates a northern California Laser Technology Center in Santa Clara, the center of Silicon Valley.
