Expanded Training Catalog with Three New Online Courses

FANUC America has announced that three new CNC training courses are now available online. "FANUC online learning programs offer a flexible, cost-effective way for users to develop expert-level knowledge of factory automation and CNC programming at a time and place that is convenient for them," said a company spokesperson. Students receive FANUC Academic Certification upon successful completion of the course material and evaluations.

The online education system offered by FANUC provides comprehensive content in an interactive learning environment. Courses include 20 - 30 hours of learning material focused on helping users become fully proficient in machining center programming, turning center programming and parametric programming using FANUC Custom Macros.

FANUC worked closely with CNC Concepts Inc., a provider of CNC training, to develop online courses that follow the proven key concepts approach. This approach to education helps users understand the reasoning behind the processes in addition to teaching the processes. Each lesson builds on the information taught in the previous lesson, and provides a logical "show-me" tutorial method of instruction. Upon completion of the course, students will possess a solid understanding of how to get a machine up and into production.

Each course includes access to the FANUC eLearning online educational system, a one-year license for FANUC NCGuide CNC Simulation Software, email access to dedicated FANUC training instructors, all study material, exercises and tests. Upon successful completion of the coursework and evaluations, students receive FANUC Academic Certification, confirming their mastery of the topic.

NCGuide is FANUC's CNC software running on a PC. This teaching tool allows the student to experience a realistic operating environment without taking a machine out of production for training. With a one-year license users can take advantage of the PC-based simulation to continue their education even after they complete the course.
