New Process Monitoring Device and Cutting Tools

KOMET will have a variety of its newest and staple tools on display and will feature live demonstrations of its tools in real-life applications.
Highlights include:
- KOMET milling tools: KOMET features an expanding lineup of milling tools, including indexable, solid carbide and PCD milling cutters intended for various milling operations. Included are the Quatron hi.feed milling cutter, which is designed for high-speed and plunge milling, and the hi.aeQ face mill, which features a set of tangentially positioned indexable inserts, each offering eight usable cutting edges and designed for cost-effective machining and long tool life.
- KOMET BRINKHAUS ToolScope: KOMET BRINKHAUS is the KOMET brand for process monitoring and adaptive control. The ToolScope is a "black box"-like device that connects directly to the CNC machine, detecting, recording and analyzing data from machine runs to find the peak running parameters for machining operations and to prevent tool breakage. Features include informative indicators, automatic configuration and a large memory.
- Standard and custom solid carbide tooling: KOMET offers an extensive line of high quality solid carbide tools for drilling, reaming, milling and threading operations. Booth visitors can see its standard catalog offering, or get a quote for made-to-order multi-step drills or custom milling cutters.
- KOMET SERVICE: Six independently owned and operated shops with significant experience in the manufacture and refurbishment of solid carbide tooling have joined the KOMET SERVICE network in the past year. As a KOMET SERVICE Partner, shop owners and their employees receive training on the manufacture, sharpening and regrinding of KOMET tools.
- KOMET DIHART reamers: KOMET will show its newest products, the Fullmax, a universal, solid carbide reamer and the Duomax, an indexable cutting ring, alongside its range of reaming tools.
- KOMET JEL and Bass threading tools: From the BGF all-in-one drilling, chamfering and thread milling tool, to a complete range of machine taps and roll form taps, and all the necessary holders and accessories, KOMET offers high-performance tools for threading applications.
- KOMET RHOBEST tools: KOMET's RHOBEST line of tools is designed for the machining of non-homogenous materials. At IMTS, KOMET will show how its geometries and ultrananocrystalline diamond coatings stand up to demanding materials.
- Komet TwinKom twin cutter bridge: A new lightweight and versatile tool, the TwinKom twin cutter bridge is designed for the internal or external machining of large diameter bores from 365 mm to 2,000 mm. KOMET will have its one-meter TwinKom bridge on display.
- Live demonstrations every hour: IMTS attendees are invited to KOMET's hourly live demonstrations to see how KOMET tools perform in real-world applications.
