DiPaolo Machine Tools, a Toronto located machine tools importer, rebuilder and service provider, has announced its partnership with Juaristi, a Spanish machine tool builder. This partnership makes DiPaolo Machine Tools the exclusive importer of Juaristi products in United States and Canada, responsible for sales, installation, service, spare parts and technical support.
TX and TS Series T-Type Horizontal Boring Mills
The TX and TS Series of T-type horizontal boring mills feature a boring spindle diameter of 4.9", 5.1", 5.9" or 7.1", X-axis travels of 78.7" - 236", vertical travels (Y-axis) of 59.1" - 157.5", column travels (Z-axis) of 59.1" - 118.1" and spindle travels (W-axis) of 23.6", 31.5", 39,4", depending on the spindle diameter. The machine can be equipped with a rotary table measuring from 39.4" x 47.2" up to 118.1"x 157.5" with load capacity of 12 - 40 metric tons, or with an automatic pallet changer. Spindle power is 50 - 80 HP continuously, and spindle speed is as high as 4,000 RPM (for a 4.9" spindle).
The machine can be equipped with a 5-axis twist type continuous head with 6,000 - 12,000 RPM; universal milling head with 1 x 1 or 0.001 x 0.001 degree increment, or facing head, manually or automatically changeable.
The machine is available with two different types of guide ways: linear guide ways, permitting rapid feed rate up to 1,180 IPM (TX Series), or box ways, with feed rate of 590 IPM (TS Series).
Symmetrical column-headstock, four vertical guide ways and usage of high grade pearlitic cast iron for all structural components help provide thermal and mechanical accuracy, rigidity and cutting efficiency.
Th5 Series Machining Centers
The Th5 series line of high speed / high productive machining centers feature X-axis travels of 78.7" - 157.5", and Y-axis and Z-axis travels of 59.1" - 98.4".
The machining center can be equipped with a 5-axis twist type continuous head with 6,000 - 12,000 RPM; universal milling head with 0.001 x 0.001 degree increment, 6,000 RPM; boring spindle diameter 5.1" or 5.9"; or horizontal fixed spindle. It can have two to four or more pallets 57" x 63" or 78.7" x 98.4", with 12 ton load capacity.
Linear guide ways are designed to provide excellent dynamics and productivity - rapid feed rate 1,575 IPM and acceleration 3 m/s2. Symmetrical column-headstock and four vertical guide ways help provide rigidity and thermal and mechanical accuracy. The chain type ATC holds up to 160 tools with short change time (6 seconds), and a robotized matrix type ATC holding up to 400 tools is available.
Its wraparound design, integrating enclosure with bed and chip conveyors, allows complete collection of chips and coolant without polluting the shop floor. The enclosure includes automatic doors for loading/unloading of pallets and roof and workpiece washing with coolant jets. Oil mist and fume extractor systems may also be installed to provide a clean environment and good visibility.
MP RAM Series Floor Type Hydrostatic Boring Mills
The MP RAM series of floor type hydrostatic boring mills are engineered for the heaviest machining jobs and are designed to provide maximum accuracy and productivity. They feature X-axis travels up to 131', vertical travels up to 315" and Z+W travels up to 134", spindle power up to 167 HP and torque up to 17,000 ft-lbs. with boring bars up to 10.2" diameter.
All structural components are of high grade cast iron. All guide ways are hydrostatic and are designed for smooth, precise movements, enhanced cutting efficiency and long machine life. The boring mill features three simultaneously acting compensation systems for the column, headstock and ram.
According to the company, machining with large facing cutters, boring operations and deep drilling cuts can be performed due to the torque and power of these machines. In combination with Juaristi rotary tables as big as 196.8" x 236.2", 150 ton, large and heavy workpieces can be machined in one set-up.
A range of attachments are available, include automatically changeable heads (facing heads up to 78.7"; recessing tools; universal automatic heads with 1 or 0.001 degree increment; 5-axis heads and more).
A chain type ATC for up to 160 tools and robotized matrix type ATC up to 500 tools are available.
MX and MX RAM Series of Boring and Milling Machines
The MX and MX RAM series of floor type boring and milling machines have linear guide ways and feature X-axis travels up to 131', vertical travels up to 196.8", Z-axis travels up to 78.7" and spindle power up to 85 HP.
Similar to the MP RAM, they can be equipped with rotary tables 20 to 150 ton and automatic tool changers.
MX milling machines feature spindle speed of 6,000 RPM and power up to 62 HP. The machines can be equipped with automatically or manually changeable attachments, including angular, 5-axis, indexing or facing heads.
MX RAM boring mills feature spindle diameters of 5.1", 6.3" or 7.1", Z+W travels up to 114" and spindle power up to 85 HP.
