Utility Band Saw

Scotchman Industries has announced the addition of the SU-280 utility band saw to its lineup of metal fabrication equipment. According to the company, the new utility band saw combines the cutting of a traditional band saw with the flexibility, speed and accuracy of a cold saw. The SU-280 features a pull-down pivoting band saw mounted on an elevated cutting table similar to the Scotchman line of cold saws.

Capable of cutting round material up to 8.5" in diameter, the SU-280 offers an increased cutting capacity and has the ability to cut ferrous and non-ferrous materials including tubing, solid material and structural iron. Standard features include: single mitering head capable of producing 90°, 45° and 30° cuts; a quick action locking vise; and carbide blade guides with roller supports.

The SU-280 is available in 3-phase and 1-phase models and is backed by Scotchman's 3-year warranty.
