Moving Mazatrol Programs from One Mazak to Another

With MazaCAM a user can move Mazatrol programs from one machine to another. MazaCAM has the ability to program all of the recent Smooth controls (Smooth-X, Smooth-G, SmoothC), in addition to Matrix-I and Matrix-II, Smart and legacy controls. An operator can program parts just once, and then run it on all Mazak generations in the shop.

This can eliminate significant re-programming time, and makes it easy to move jobs to an available machine. Having one system for multiple Mazak CNC machines enables shops to simplify processes and not waste so much time training on and supporting multiple systems.

"Since MazaCAM CAD/CAM can output both Mazatrol and G-code, unlike other systems that are limited. A shop can utilize more of the core power of its Mazaks to get jobs done 20% faster, according to customer reports," said a company spokesperson.
