AccuRounds Completes Expansion

AccuRounds recently completed the construction of an 18,000 sq. ft. building expansion. The project began in September of 2013 and includes both manufacturing and office space. The production floor layout is configured into value streams to maximize throughput and reduce waste.

The addition gives the company a total of 45,000 sq. ft. Along with the construction, AccuRounds has purchased several new CNC machines, including a CNC Feeler HV-1000, increasing milling capacity by 50%. AccuRounds manufactures complex components for industries including medical, aerospace, defense, robotics and alternative energy. Capabilities include CNC Swiss screw machining, CNC turning and milling and precision grinding.

"We are now in a prime position to optimize the lean manufacturing practices that we have been implementing for years," said Michael Tamasi, CEO. "I am pleased to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the AccuRounds team, as well as cutting edge technology to produce product for our customers."

The company was recently awarded a large contract with a major aerospace company. AccuRounds employs 70 people and will be looking to increase its workforce in the coming months.

AccuRounds, founded in 1976, is a contract manufacturer that machines and assembles precision turned components for a variety of industries.
